For freezer room, general temperature is -18 ℃~ -23℃. Meat in the freezer can generally be stored for six months, or even longer. The lower the temperature, the longer the preservation time. If -18 ℃, meat can kept for 6 months. If you want to keep longer, then the temperature should be lower. Of course, the lower the temperature, the higher the cost of cold storage, not only in the construction costs operation,but also maintenance costs will be correspondingly increased.
Safety of goods is decided by if cooling technology can meet the requirements. For example, if temperature is only around -14 ℃, up to four or five days, meat will turn bad. In the frozen storage of meat, temperature must be below -18 ℃.
